Brunei Ruler Conferred Laos’ Highest Medal His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei was conferred Laos' highest medal, Phoxay Lane Xang by the Lao President Mr Khamtay Siphandone. The medal is in recognition of His Majesty's remarkable efforts in enhancing the friendly ties and cooperation between Brunei and Laos. Lao Itsala Order honours VN’s National Assembly Lao National Assembly Chairman Samane Vignaket conferred his country’s first class Freedom Order (Itsala) on the Viet Nam National Assembly in honour of its 60th anniversary. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Viet Nam National Chairman Nguyen Van An expressed deep gratitude for the honour and esteem of the Lao Party, State and people. Viet Nam honours Lao cryptographers The Viet Nam Governmental Cryptography Committee has presented the friendship decoration to 14 Lao cryptographers on the occasion of the committee's 60th anniversary. Laos honours Vietnamese diplomatic organisations and individuals Laos has presented a number of Vietnamese diplomatic organisations and individuals with orders and medals for their contributions to strengthening the special friendship between the two countries. Lao Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavat presented Deputy Foreign Minister Le Cong Phung with Issara (Freedom) order, second class, and Do Ngoc Son, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA)'s Department of Asia 2 with Issara order, third class.
