Conseil des ministres : droits et obligations de l'opposition codifiés The president of the Republic has established the following new awards: The Order of Defence Merit, Medal for Victims of War, Campaign Medal, Leadership Medal, Medal of Bravery and Medal of Excellence - Water and Forests. L'ONU décerne la médaille de maintien de la paix au contingent marocain en Côte d'Ivoire United Nations Service medals were presented to Moroccan troops for service in the Ivory Coast (ONUCI). Receiving the medal was the commander of the Moroccan contingent in the Ivory Coast, Colonel-major Abdeslam Kdali. Morocco is participating with 39 other countries as part of the ONUCI force since 4 April 2004. ONUCI is componsed of 6,000 UN peackeeepers and is supported by 4,000 French troops under Operation "Licorne". Article in French. aujourdhui.ma 21 Nov 05

“Nous voulons la paix, donnez-nous la paix” Ten Ivory Coast women have been decorated for their pioneering work towards the development of the Ivory Coast. Some of the recipients were Mme Hortense Aka Anghui, mayor of Port-Bouët et former minister which was elevated to Grand Officier de l’Ordre national, Mme Danielle Bony Claverie, former minister, and Mme Alexise Gogoua, founding president of the "Ligue ivoirienne des secrétaires" were elevated to the rank of Commandeur de l’Ordre national. For her work in cultural, social and political areans, Mme Henriette Dagri Diabaté, former minister was elevated to the rank of Officier de l’Ordre national, as was Mme Anne Messou. Omnisports- Cérémonie de décoration : “Le Nouveau Réveil” honoré The sports editor of the Ivory Coast newspaper Le Nouveau Réveil" , Kanga Rovia, has been elevated to the rank of Chevalier in the National Order of Sports Merit (chevalier dans l'ordre national du mérite sportif). Cérémonie de décoration par le Chef de l’Etat - “Nord-Sud Quotidien” décoré A total of 389 recipients were awarded the National Order of Sports Merit as follows: 27 commandeurs, 140 officiers and 222 chevaliers.
