Jammeh Honours 58 Personalities President Yahya Jammeh, Grand Master of the National Order of The Republic of The Gambia (GMRG), conferred medals on 58 individuals who have distinguished themselves in the various fields of service to The Gambia. The recipients of the insignia of Grand Officer of the National Order of the Republic of The Gambia (GORG) are: the first lady of the republic of The Gambia, Madam Zineb Yahya Jammeh, Aja Fatou Bojang Mother of H.E, The President and the Cuban Medical Mission in The Gambia. Those who were honoured with the Commander of the National Order of the Republic of The Gambia (CRG) are: Justice Babucarr Semega Janneh, President of The Gambia Supreme Court, Muhammed Bazzi, Managing Director, GAM Petroleum Storage Facility Company (CRG Honorary), Dr Omar Jah, Adviser to OIC Secretary-General, and Dr John O Kakonge, former UNDP country director. The insignia of Officer of the National Order of the Republic of The Gambia (ORG) goes to: Mambureh Njie, Secretary -General and Head of the Civil Service, Lamin Kaba Bajo, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Tijan Hydara, Attorney General and Secretary of State for Justice, Juka Fatou Jabang, Director-General, Management Development Institute, Raymond Sock, Former Attorney General and Secretary of State for Justice, Col Lang Tombong Tamba, Ousman Boto Sanneh USA, Patrick Robinson, Street Basketball Association USA (ORG honorary), Jerod Mustaf, Street Basketball Association (ORG Honorary) and members of the U-17 National Team. Gambian contingent receives medals in Liberia Ambassador Jacque Paul Klein, special representative of the UN secretary general in Liberia recently awarded medals to the Gambian peacekeeping contingent after a successful eight month mission.
