MISAB Medal During 1997, a regional peacekeeping force was established in the Central African Republic, under the Bangui Agreements (named after the country's capital). A regional peacekeeping force, composed of forces from Burkina Faso, Gabon, Mali, Senegal, Tchad and Togo, was dispatched with military aid from France to restore and maintain order. This medal was awarded to members of the force, which was praised for its initiative by the UN. Image courtesy Ed
