National Medals Award : 190 Staff Of The Presidency Honoured The Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, Jean-Marie Atangana Mebara,presided over the award of 191 medals to meritorious staff of the presidential palace. Prominent among the medal recipients were Musonge Isaac Jackaï, technical adviser at the Presidency and two State House senior security operatives - Colonel Hollong Etienne and Captain Lang Anthony. All three of them were made Commander of the national order of valour. Also prominent on the honour's list for this year were the Director of State Protocol, Awono Essama Dominique; the newly appointed Assistant SG at the National Assembly, Fonkam Azu'u Samuel, Bouba Ndengue Dieudonné and Noah Ntsang Raymond who all received medals of "Officer of the National Order of Valour". In all, 3300 Cameroonians were awarded national honour medals this year on the occasion of the National Day. Out of the 191 medals awarded yesterday to meritorious staff of the Presidency of the Republic, 120 were national order awards while 71 were either labour, sports or armed forces medals. French Military Experts Awarded Medals About 15 senior French officials peace-corps were decorated for their outstanding performance during their stay in the country. The ceremony in their honour which was chaired by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Laurent Esso, was aimed at compensating them for their meritorious services during their three-year mission in Cameroon. They include: Colonel Roling Guy, Lieutenant Colonels, Giorda Jean-Pascal and Chivot Jean-Luc, Captains, Cossard Frank and Rigaud Alain, Major, Merillac Patrice. Cameroun: Médailles du 20 mai 2006 : 3 350 demandes en examen A work group has been established by the Chancellery to review the 3,350 submission for honours. The quotas for this year are: 300 for the Order of Valour (l'Ordre de la valeur), 1,300 for the Mérite camerounais , 300 for the Mérite agricole, 150 for the Mérite sportif, and 1,300 for the médaille de la Force publique.
