• Long Service Medal (National People's Army) - The Medal of the National People's Army, or Long Service Medal, was established in 1986 and modified in 1987. The medal is 37mm and is awarded in the Civil Division with a plain ribbon as shown for 15 years of service with the armed forces. It is awarded in the Military Division with a single gold chevron (point down) on the ribbon for 15 years of service and with two gold chevrons for 25 years of service. The reverse is blank with the exception of a serial number. Ed Emering
