Searching

Head bowed I tremble before your willful search.
Fearful to reveal my naked need.
Desperate to connect with your soul.
Summoning courage born of urgency
I lift my eyes to meet the soft unending darkness.
A silent plea fills the space between.
Take what you will

Grasp my gaze with yours.
Caress it gently
Explore my fragility with care.
Immerse yourself in my ocean green.
Follow the warm sunlight shaft of vulnerability
Cutting through the clear depths
To the treasure long buried there.

Sink your hands into the riches.
Wrap your fingers around the smooth pearls.
Slip the golden filigree around your neck
Explore the precious jewels.
Take what you will.

Press your palm against the humming bird beat of my heart
Follow its unwavering flight of thirst
To the sweet nectar of the ruby fuchsias
Hovering with restless intensity
Quenching its need
Above the sacred place
Where the beauty of the flower
Meets the strength of the life giving roots beneath.
The life is mine
Take what you will
Deep within the earth of my heart
Runs a liquid vein of silver sorrow.
Take what you will
