French Dressing

1 1/2 cup salad oil
3/4 cup vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 can of tomatoe soup
1 or 2 pods of garlic

Put all ingredients into a blender and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate. This dressing will keep for a very long period.


Sweet N Sour Dressing

3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/3 cup vinegar
1/3 cup salad oil
1 teaspoon grated onion

Boil the first 6 ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Add the oil and grated onion to the mixture and blend in a blender til smooth.


Russian Dressing

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup oil
2 Tablespoons catsup
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
chopped onion
chopped parsley

Blend all the ingredients in a blender. Keep refrigerated. Yields 16 oz.


Cole Slaw Dressing

1 cup miracle whip
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup cider vinegar
salt to taste
celery seed to taste

Mix ingredients well. Keeps well in refrigerator until ready to toss with your cole slaw mixture.


Dressing for Fruit

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 Tablespoons lemon juice
3 Tablespoons currant jelly
1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
powdered sugar if needed

Soften cream cheese. Beat until fluffy. Add lemon juice and currant jelly and beat until smooth. Whip the crem and fold into the cheese mixture. Add a little powdered sugar if you want it sweeter to taste.
Serve in a seperate bowl along with fresh or frozen fruit salad. Top the fruit salad with the dressing or use for dipping.
