RED SALVIA

The red salvia, known as scarlet sage is a member of the mint family. It is a ground plant or small shrub, is a native of Brazil and is widely known throughout the United States but this particular variety is common to the warmer climates. The salvia is propagated by cuttings or seed. It does best in full sunlight but can be used elsewhere and still bloom fairly well. Too much water will retard the bloom. This flower is quite beautiful when planted in groups.
