This ground plant grows to about four feet high and has large clusters of bell shaped blossoms at the top. It is individual in its odd tubular shaped growth. The blossoms are bright red on the outside and somewhat paler on the inside.
The Kalanchoe originally came from South Africa. It blooms in the winter and will grow well in warm climates. This particular one seems to do best from seed. It needs a well drained sandy soil and at least a half day of sun.
Some fertilization is necessary to give sturdy stalks.
