MulletQuest

You pick the winner

For those of you not up with retro jargon, a "mullet" is the hairstyle initially popular in the mid- to late-1980s and still inexplicably popular in some regions in the U.S. It is described best as "short on top, long in back." Billy Ray Cyrus, for example, had a "mullet." Randy Johnson, pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks, still wears his mullet with pride. But there was a time when the look was fresh and exciting, and the three coolest fellas at Loudonville High School were sporting the fledgling coiffure. Take a look at these next three photos and judge for yourself: WHO HAD THE BEST MULLET? Note: "best mullet" is clearly an oxymoron; I leave it to you to decide whether you want to vote for the least ugly mullet, or the most freakish. Send your vote to MulletMedia

Jake sports a subtle yet full-bodied mullet, accentuated by the fluorescent Batman cap.

Pat is resplendent in his flat-top mullet with poof-balls in the back.

Jim stakes out new territory with a parted mullet, complemented perfectly by the pink and gray "Miami Vice"-style tuxedo. Note: prom date (not pictured) also had a mullet.
