OBJECTIVE:
To capitalize on my Web experience in Internet Marketing, Business Process Re-engineering and project management.

BUSINESS SKILLS:

  • Business Process Re-engineering: BPR is the radical redesign of business processes for dramatic improvement. Familiar with methodology and practice of redefining a business' processes, roles and measures from the ground up.
  • Internet Marketing: Worked quickly and carefully to ensure a world-class customer experience based on the Intel® brand. Flawlessly managed some of the most visible pages on intel.com for four years, including the homepage of intel.com and the Press Room. Drove strategy and implementation of new and existing projects, and maintained or provided for maintenance after launch.
  • Management: Managed virtual teams as well as direct-report employees. Experienced in developing processes and facilitating communication between individuals and groups based on business needs.
  • Self-direction: Have been working remotely 2,000 miles from the rest of my group for over a year. Comfortable working toward multiple goals without direct supervision. Know when to seek advice and when to proceed. Able to navigate business, process and technical issues equally well.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • HTML: Working knowledge of HTML with and without WYSIWYG tools.
  • PhotoShop: Working knowledge of PhotoShop for basic images and Web graphics.
  • MS Office: Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Intel Corporation, www.intel.com, Santa Clara, CA
Intel, the world's largest microprocessor maker, is also a leading manufacturer of computer, networking and communications products.

2/02 - now Business Process Re-engineering, Corporate Internet Marketing
    Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the business process design for intel.com, including processes, roles and measures of success.
  • Lead and collaborate with a virtual "extended team" representing Intel's business groups and programs worldwide. Ensure that this group works together effectively during multiday face-to-face process design sessions, bridging gaps between cultural, stylistic and process differences.
  • Worked closely with a consultative agency to adapt business process re-engineering methodology to Intel's culture and business needs.

    Accomplishments:

  • Pioneered a new approach for Intel's Internet Marketing Group using a proven methodology to develop a single, global set of processes, roles and measures. Perviously, Intel's decentralized Web teams each had their own processes, leading to duplication of efforts and content, unnecessary cost, and inefficiencies.
  • Internalized the business process re-engineering methodology, thereby allowing the release of the agency and saving Intel money.
  • Achieved consensus on the process design from the extended team representing the worldwide business and program groups and their stakeholders.
  • 10/01 - 2/02 Customer Scenario Manager, Corporate Internet Marketing
    Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with a consultative agency to adapt customer scenario methodology to Intel's culture and business needs. I was "on loan" to the customer scenario team for four months for this purpose.

    Accomplishments:

  • Pioneered a new approach for Intel using a proven methodology to build web sites based on the balance between the needs of the customer and Intel's business needs. Previously, Intel's needs were given too much focus, resulting in a frustrating brand and customer experience on intel.com.
  • 3/01 - 10/01 Internet Marketing Operations Manager, Corporate Internet Marketing
    Responsibilities:
  • Established the new role of Marketing Operations Manager to manage and maintain the processes and policies that guide Intel's Web author community. Responsible for driving consistent, world-class customer experience across intel.com through corporate Web policy and process.

    Accomplishments:

  • Successfully drove broad policies and issues that affect the quality and operation of intel.com, as well as the delivery of an optimal customer experience, including:
  • Corporate Web Site Clean Up: The clean up benefited intel.com by: 1) identifying ownerless content; 2) freeing CPS disk space needed for current/future content; 3) improving visitor experience; and 4) most importantly, protecting the Intel® brand by removing outdated messages. The project removed 19,500 files, freeing 850 MB of space and lessening the burden on Intel's server farm.
  • Intel Web Author Certification: Reviewed the existing certification documentation, rewrote several areas and wrote a new chapter and test questions devoted to Web strategy. The result is a faster, more effective certification process that delivers the necessary information and provides a reasonable expectation of becoming certified with the knowledge needed to work with Intel's externally facing Web sites.
  • Web Survey Calendar: Created a survey calendar to maximize Intel's ability to gather data while protecting visitor experience from over-surveying. Designed a process to ensure that the calendar was maintained and enforced.
