My Autobiography

My mom ran into my room shouting "Nalini you're late, we are going to start praying. Everyone is all set to and for our morning prayer." I jumped out of my bed because our family alwyas prays together. We believe that "The family that prays together, stays together."
I love to help others,in my opinion, when you help others you benefit a lot. I help my parents at home after school. I cook and clean the house and later in the evening I do my home work. Respect is a major aspect in my life. I believe that to earn respect, you must have respect for yourself first.
My parents are the ones who made me who I am. They are my role models. Without them,my life would not have been the way it is at the present time. I always take their advice because I know they would never mislead me.
There was one incident I will always remember. It all happened when I was nine years old. My parents and I decided to go to the ball game. On our way, there were two senior citizens standing on the street. They seemed as if they were husband and wife. the man looked as if he was seventy years of age. He had gray hair and a thick moustache with a long beard. His clothes looked grimy. The woman looked feeble and was not properly attired.
Tears came to my eyes immediately. They were obviously homeless and poor. My mom is a person who always liked to give charity. She gave them two hundred dollars. This made them so happy that they could not stop thanking us. I was very proud of my mom.
From that day,I learned never to abuse whatever I have, just utilize everything carefully. Now I've seen that there is always someone in the world in need and I've learned to become a more responsible and caring teenager. I plan to excel in college in order to help others and also to be a respected person in society. When I excel in college I would be able to get a job and always give money to the poor people.
