"True love is not blind, in fact, love has better then 20/20 vision." This statement is true. It means you don't only see the good in a person but you also see the bad. You see how a person really is and love them anyway. The poem "Love Poem" written by John Frederirk Nims and the play The Crucible The Cruciblewritten by Author Miller describe what love is really about.
In the poem "Love Poem," the man describes his wife's flaws and her strengths. He doesn't justsay she is pretty and good to him. He lets people know that she could mess up most of the time and that she is not perfect. Tf she was gone, he would be empty inside and the world would be lonely without her and her flwas. This is true love because he takes her for who she is inside and not from the outside.
In the play The Crucible Eilzabeth Proctor lets her husband John Proctor know that she loves him by lying in the court. Sheshowed that her love for is more important than dying or spending life in jail, even though he cheated on her. Sahe still forgives him and she doesn'twant to say good-bye to him in bad terms. This is true love because she saw through all his bad, look at his good and forgave him.
