You are about to hear a tale about the greatest thieves that ever lived.....There once lived a man named Ounceous who loved adventure. He was obsessed with treasure and finding ways to obtain it. Ounceous was an only child so he had to find ways to amuse himself. Thats when it all started. It started off as a past time and later turned into a profession. The things that were "rescued and returned to their rightful owners" were usually very small boubles that he thought should be rightfully his.
As Ounceous grew so did his skill. Ounceous thought he was so good at treasure seeking and what later became stealing, that he decided that that's what he wanted to do forever. As Ounceous grew in skill he became bored with adventure and more interested with money. He was yong in mind and filled with insolence. He always wanted more. He was never satisfied. Ounceous felt that naught was out of his reach and that if he wanted it he would steal it without ever being caught. He later took on a lackey who helped him in his life of crime.
The name of his accomplice was Neiko. Neiko was not as loathsome as Ounceous but as time passed he became more and more like his master. The two thought they were unstoppable until they stole from a man of great power. Ounceous and Neiko had to leave their home in England to a place unfamiliar to them. They were amiss and it showed.
Ounceous and Neiko found themselves in New York City where nearly everything was different from what they were nearly everything was different from what they ewre use to. As a few days passed Ounceous and Neiko, being different and knowing it, thought they were inferior to those of New York with their strong way of speaking and strange money.
What Ounceous and Neiko didnt realize was the was the very powerful man they robbed was the mayor of New York City and they were in for a big shock. Ounceous and Neiko were being very frivolous with their lives. They were spending what little they had from selling the stolen property too quickly. They were getting into fights with strangers. They were stealing from children . The truth was that they were inapt to live in an honest society. The more they stole the more renowedthey became. People were always on the look out for Ounceous and Neiko, especially when the mayor issued a warrent for their arrest.
The once fast and easy life was quiclky becoming dull and scary. The thought of sneaking back to England soon became a considerable option, now that the mayor was back in New York. The two were becoming tired and haggard. The fast life was starting to catch up to them. Ounceous and Neiko were now starting to feel their age and things were not the same as they were when they were in there twenties . The two decided to give up the life of crime they've been adjusted to. They wanted to have normal lives. For the first time in a long time Ounceous wanted to be normal. He wanted to lead an honest life and be happy. His heart was empty and he didn't feel complete. He wanted more .
Ounceous and Neiko split because they figured if they stayed together they would never change. They would only be reminded of the life of crime they shared and it wouldn't be best for either of them. Neiko went to live in a quiet town in Scotland, and Ounceous , knowing he couldn't stay in New York , went to live in Paris.
They both wanted to earn respect. As time passed . Neiko and Ounceous became older. They never found the love they were looking for perhaps as punishment for there misdeeds. They did however lead honest lives untill they died. And that is the tale of the most notorious crooks that ever lived.
