Many people say that a web page is a source of information. In order to make a web page or go to it you need the Internet. John Evans says that,"The internet is like a giant jellyfish. You can't step on it. You can't go around it. You've got to get through it." Technology has improved over the past years and it gets even better with the internet. You have to get through it in order to understand it and thats where the web pages come in. You see, a web page is not just a source of information it's more than that.
Now in the Encarta Encyclopedia dictionary the formal definition for this word is: a computer file, encoded in hypertext markup language HTML and containing text, graphic files, and sound files, that is accessible through the World Wide Web. Also every web page has a Unique Resource Locator, URL, or address. This definition seems to be a whole bunch of gibberish. But a web page is more than this big-worded definition. To the public a web page is the world.
Web pages help us get what we need on to the web and it also helps us get information off the web. With a web page you can listen to music, search for something, and look at profiles. All this information can help with school, work, and traveling, or it can even help with your family. People are making webpages everyday to help people. Also when you need to look up a word or subject of any kind. You don't need to go to a dictionary instead you can go to a web page.
Web pages are very helpful around the world. It is more that just a defintion or a sourde of information but everything these days. Without web pages what would we do? People would probaly have it hard without web pages. Web pages are more than just a source of information; they are the world!
