Life is filled with many opportunities, and where there is an opportunity there is bound to be an obstacle. However, we all try to get through them anyway that we can whether it is working two jobs to help support one’s family to having to ask one’s parent to make a phone call. Does one have to be rich? Answer is, no, but they certainly do have to be rich enough.
Ah yes, celebrities, those who walk among the red carpet and are dressed for free. What one would do to only become one, or at least one’s child? Over the years, an increasing percentage of celebrity’s children have surfaced the list of those most fortunate. They have been taken to good public or private school, in which they receive best education. Meanwhile, they have received internships and jobs that would take an arm and a leg to get, which will work in their favor in pursuit of their career.
Whereas, for the middle class children; this luxury doesn’t exist, at least outside of our minds. Seeing that taxes and gas prices aren’t working in the pockets of the middle –class, their children suffer more than them, they have to work extra to beat those who are aiming for the same opportunity. Life as a middle- class citizen isn’t so bad aside from the facts, that funding in the public schools are lower, which hinders our education and dampers our chances of great internships and jobs, in the pursuit of our career.
However; aside from the social status and career guidance, both views might perceive life on the other side, as perfect. Life as the celebrity’s child and child of middle-class citizens are really no different when it comes to family problems or even self-issues.
When it comes to education, careers and families, those of the celebrities are guaranteed to come out on top. Why, because they worked hard? More likely, because they have good genes, other than the ones they wear to exclusive night clubs. Of course, children of celebrities will one day be one of those who will glide across the red carpet. At least, when children of middle-class citizens glide across the red carpet or elsewhere, we wouldn’t be in our mother’s or father’s shadow.
