What happened on Friday was tragic. However I am not going to say that the young female deserved to die but that she was in the wrong place, at the wrong time. The girl should never have been outside of the school during sixth period. The school should do something about "cutters". If Jamaica High School wants to be one of the top schools, then they should stop spending so much money on scanning machines and invest in the education of the students that go to this school.
I must also include that the media is not any better than Jamaica High School. The media is a terrible influence. They protrayed the victim as a pair of Timberland boots in the street on all the news channels. Many of the news channels also gave the reporter a short period of time to discuss the tragic incident. The newspaper also gave false information about the mishap. This makes me wonder about how reliable our news sources are?
