The Dark and Stormy Night
It was a dark and stormy night. Bill was running home because he had just left from Jack's house and he didn't want to get too wet. When Bill got home all the light were out. First he knocked on the door, but nobody opened the door. So he pulled out his keys and open the door. The house was so quiet that he could hear himself breathing. He started to take off his wet clothes when the phone rang. He answered it. It was Jack playing on the phone. Bill hung up the phone and went to his room.
When Bill got to his room he turned on the T.V. and the news was on. The newsman said,"This is an important message. A men by the name of Bob Willings has escaped from the local jail. He is known to be in the Queens area. If you see him call the police."
Right after the message he turned off the T.V. Jack called back and he told Bill that he was watching the news too. Jack knew that Bill was home alone, so he told Bill that he was going to come over and to look out the window for him.
About an hour passed and someone knocked on the door. It was Jack and he was all wet. Bill gave him something to wear that was dry. They were talking about the man who escaped and Jack was saying that he saw him at the park once. They didn't want to see him again.
Jack said,"I'm hungry. I'm going to get something to eat."As soon as Jack turned on the lights they turned off. So he tried again but they wouldn't come back on.
Bill ran downstairs "What did you do?" he ask.
All Jack could say was, "I don't know. Maybe the power went out, go check."
"I'm not going alone."Bill told him"
They put raincoats on and they went to check the power box in the backyard.Bill open the box when a vigorous bolt of light struck a few miles away. They both jumped back then started laughing. They turned the power back on and ran back inside.
Once they got to the front the front door was craked open alittle. They both stopped at the door and looked bewildered. They didn't move at first. They then ran to the phone to call the police but the phone aws detached from the wall. They dashed into the living room where there were two boxes of pots and pans.They took one cauldron for each of them.
Jack was leading Bill up the stairs where they had been hearing noises from. Both of them were scared. They pushed open the bedroom door. There was a six-foot man looking right at them. They felt like they were stuck to the floor because they couldn't move.
They finally got down the stairs and ran to the house across the street. They were banging on the door so hard that their hands started to hurt.
Once the door opened they pushed their way inside and locked the door. Jack ran to the phone to call the police. The man started thrashing on the door trying to get in. Then he ran away.
When the police came they started looking for him and they found him in a nearby park. Bill and Jack were both made heroes and were on the news. They were paid to tell everything that happen that night in a local news article.After what happen that night they would never be the same again.
