SCHOOL-TO-WORK

In order for kids to get a better jobs the education system should start school-to-work programs. All high schools should have these programs. Doing this there are many benefits given to the students from this programs. In order to start the programs there are many conditions needed for success.

There are many benefits students can get from this program. Students pariticipate in internships which would put them in the work place for longer periods of time, which gives them training experience and better opportunites. They also do work for the companies and they get paid money for it and also get school credit at the same time. "The students can learn as much outside the classroom as in".said Floyd

There are also many coditions that are needed to make the program a success.The teachers would have to change what is taught in the classrooms, like showing them business and how to fill out job application and what and how to spend money. Also they have representatives come into the classroom and tell them what math, science, writing, and communication skills have to do with building new structures. Student take harder courses, perform better on state-mandated test and are introduced to finaneal careers, economics, accounting and security operation.

At the age of 12 kids start making choices that will affect them for the rest of there lives. "All students have the ability to change the world, not just to live in it" said Eve Maria Hall. To do that they have to know to solve problems and use critical thinking skills and they have to beable to work in teams. These are all the reasons why schools should provide school-to-work programs.
