Elizabeth Proctor finds out about affair and confronts John

Things in the Proctor's household seems so different now a days(Elizabeth singing as John Proctor enters )

Elizabeth: I must spealk with you, John

John: (suspecious ) what happened? You look sad.

Elizabeth: John. I want yo to be open with me

John: Open with you about what?

Elizabeth: Have you ever ben with Abigail Williams?

John: Aye.But I did not mean to hurt you.

Elizabeth: All this time through my illness i though you were open with me.

John; I'm so sorry about this.

Elizabeth: (blinks for a while ) Sorry! That is all you can say?

John:(pause for a moment and sobs ) Aye. Elizabeth you are not my Judge. God is.

Elizabeth: John, it is so hard to trust you from now on. I always thought that you were a good man. When i was ill you were there. But now i'm hearty and it's hard to thinkb this the same.

John:Why is it so hard to forgive me? Everyone makes mistakes. Elizabeth, you never forgive and forget anything.

Elizabeth: Forgive? That's what you call it?

John: Aye. O.K I Have to bed and we'll talk when you are calm.

Elizabeth: (Sobs, turn her back to the window.)

John: (turns away towards the bedroom ) Good Night, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: (crying ) Good Night, John.
