All About Me

The Enigma That Is And Shall Forever Be...

ME!

Hi! Before I begin let me explain why I called my autobiography page

The Enigma That Is And Shall Forever Be...

rather than something generic like "My Autobiography." The word -- enigma -- can be defined as "One that is puzzling, ambiguous, or inexplicable", or "A perplexing speech or text; a riddle". It hails from the Latin word aenigma, which is from the Greek ainigma, from ainissesthaiainig-, which means to speak in riddles. Now that you've got the history down lets talk about something more important... ME!

Wow! With such an introduction I don't know where to begin! I guess the best place to start would be at the ... well, you guessed it, 'The Start!'

On July 26 in the year 1983 in Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, New York, at approximately 5:33 in the afternoon a woman, by the name of Nazilla Aziz, gave birth to a tiny bundle of noisy goo. She named this tiny mass Anniza Aziz (Why u ask? I dunno ... and I've lived with this for the past 17+ years!)

The following four or so years that followed were pretty uneventful. But, then again, I don't remember much about yesterday -- much less what happened when I was five! I do remember the major things like I know that during this time my grandfather (fathers' father) passed away. Also my mothers' parents came from Guyana along with my aunt and two uncles. Plus, I know that all the while we lived in the basement of a green house. But that's pretty much it.

At about the age of 4 I can vaguely remember moving from Astoria to South Richmond hill. At the age of 5 I began attending Public School 55. I started out in kindergarten and went all the way through to the 6th grade. After elementary school, I moved on to Virgil I. Grissom Junior High School 226 in September of 1997.

Currently, as you can all see, I am a senior at Jamaica High School. I am fortunate enough to, not only have won our school elections and become Senior Class President Of The Graduating Class Of 2001, but also to have a wonderful and extremely creative English teacher who allows me as well as all those in her class to post our stories for all to see.

I know that that little blurb of my life doesn't seem very complex but think about this... if I told you it all I will no longer be able to call myself an enigma, now will I?

These are just a few (and I do mean a few) pics of my somewhat mild obsessions! Enjoy!
