My first project was to read a novel Always Running. I came into the class kind of late and didn't really get a chance to finish the book.
After setting up my site I wrote a brief autobiograhy which gives a basic look into my life and future plans.
I then decided to put some of my poetry inside. I found a background which I felt best the feeling of the poem.
My next project was to form a Social Action Group .
Four of my fellow classmates and I decided to make a group which would discuss some of our runins with racism. Since everyone in our group is African
American we decided to call our group Brothers against Discrimination(B.A.D).
In addition to these works I also used one of the poems given to me in class and made some of the words link(hypertext) to other sites in order to give the reader a better understanding of the poem.
To me the Womens Literature english class puts a unique spin on a subject that in the most part is very unintresting to students. Since we are able to do our work on the computer we are not only learining about different forms of literature but also expanding our usage of computers which is almost a necessity in these times. The internet gives us an unlimited information source at our diposal.
I feel that based on my work my grade should be 85.In the beginning of the year I really didn't understand the creative possibilities of the program as you can see in some of my earlier work. As the year goes on I am finding myself working on my website at home and enjoying myself.
