Process Essay

When people see baseball on television they assume the could hit the ball the same way. From personal experience I could say that it harder than it seems . I've seen a lot of people look stupid on pitches that a three year old could hit. They probably thought it was so easy to hit but, sorry it ain't.
When I play baseball I sometimes have a hard time hitting the ball and I know how to play. To hit a baseball takes a lot of concentration. It sometimes matters the velocity the ball is coming at you. You have to have quick reactions. The mound isn't as far as it looks. When you step into the box the pitcher is very close to you. As soon as he/she is getting ready to realease the ball you got to be ready to react. Some pitchers could get that ball at you in a hurry. When the pitcher releases that ball you need to get the bat ready to make some sort of contact. Once you make contact that means your still alive and your in business.
Once you reach a certain level of play pitchers throw a vary of different pitches. The pitches move and make you look very stupid unless you are able to adjust. These pitches break at the last second when you are ready to swing. You have to able to know what the pitch is and the situation you're in. If you know what situation you're in you could determine what pitch is coming. When you get to the college or professional level of baseball there is more to do to be able to hit the ball. You have scouting reports which tells you all you need to know about the pitcher. They tell you the exact pitches each pitcher throws and the miles per hour. With all this help most people are able to hit the ball, but the bottom line is that to be a real deal player you have to just be talented.
