In elementary school you learn the basic stuff of life. You have no knowledge of anything. when I started elementary school I was very scared, I had no friends. As weeks passed by I got to meet new people. School was different then I expected. how can someone follow the same thing everyday and not get bored? People who I made friends with was very nice. After spending time there it was now time to leave and start the second part of education life. Junior high school was not as bad as elementary school. People who I went too elementary school with, now went to the same junior high school as I did. Elementary school was a little schol with little children, now junior high school kids was bigger, older, tougher then before. There were more stucents in the school, because it was three different elementary schools coming together to make one big one. Junior high school has helped me to prepare for high school life. Elementary and junior high school went by in a flash compared to high school. Jamaica high school, the name alone was popular. Most of everyone who went to junior high school went to Jamaica high. Could you imagine someone so small starting a big school like Jamaica high. I thought it was going to be hard to adjust to high school but it wasn't that bad. Half of the school I knew because most of them went to the same junior high as i did. The other half I didn't know because they came from different schools. The work at Jamaica was much more in advance then junior high work. High school life was hard the first couple of weeks. You didn't know rooms, you didn't know teachers, and you didn't know where to go if you needed help. That was scary, being in a place that you feel like you're an ant. After the first term I got the hang of everything. Jamaica scared me, The school looked like a jail, but I still wanted to go because of the finance program they had. I don't think I would have stayed at Jamaica if the program was not there.

In my freshman year it was hard to adjust to a new surrounding. I had nice supporting teachers that term but yet some of the teachers was very hard on me because they said we were not kids anymore and need to start acting like mature teens who can take on responsibly. Yet some of the teachers was very nice and guided me though the difficult times. The students in my class was very nice, we all hanged in there together. During junior high school it was different because all the classes was on the same floor now in Jamaica there was four different floors. Sometimes you would be on the third floor and your next class would be on the first floor. In my second year at Jamaica, it was much better because I got to know my way around and I had teachers as friends. Some of my teachers I went to for help in classthat I was having trouble in. They was always willin to help when I need them. But some of my classes I couldn't help but fail. School was getting harder and I started to slack off. I got in trouble for not caring enough about school and I had to make up for it in my junior year. At the end of the term I had to get my grades together to stay in the finance program, if not I was going to lose a lot.My junior year was the most difficult year I was going to face in Jamaica.I had now started to look forward to looking for colleges that I wanted to go to. Picking a college was harder then I though, and it took a lot of time and effort. The spring had finally came and I had so many regentsto take, it was hared to study for four different regents in one week. I needed a lot of help from different teachers, but somehow I manage to pull though and I passed all of my regents. Jamaica has helped me to become stronger as a person on the outside and in the inside. I am glad that I stayed at Jamaica. Jamaica helped me get a great internship over the summer of my junior year. It helped me look and realized what the real world is like out there. The real world is not like school, when you have to do something it has to be done in a matter of time. The internship helped me get my act of responsibly together. It showed me what I can get out of life if I work hard for it. Jamaica has met my expectins because I came to Jamaica to get a finance diploma and I am going to get it in a few weeks, so yes I met my expectations. it tok hard work but I got it and I am glad. But my teachers helped me get it becauce, at times I wanted to drop out of the program because it was getting too hard to handle and they told me to hang in there.

As life changed my mine for pursuing a career didn't change. I always liked business because of the way they dressed in their formal business attire. I wanted to go in to the business field. When I started Jamaica I saw that they had a business- finance program and I was very happy because thats what I wanted to do. My mine was set on it and is still set for business. I plan on going to college but a year later. I decided to take the year off and work a little and relax.I got accepted to New York City Technology also know as city tech. My first choice was Baruch, and I didn't get accepted to. I was very sad because that was one of the top business school in New york. But I didn't let that bother me I can work harder now and in later time I can tranfer in to Baruch college. As it is getting closer to the end of the term, it is getting harder to let go of your old and new friends. Friends that you knew from elementary school, though junior high and then high schoolis now leaving you after so many years. In ten years I plan to have my degree in business and have a family of my own. Life has already begain to change for me. Expect the unexpected....... email me
