By James Mcbride
The Color of Water

To be honest, I did not read the the whole book. What I do know about James McBride and his life is that he grew up being descriminated against because he was black and is mother was white. I also know he grew up in hardship and his was in a world of trouble. He wanted to escape the reality he was in and live in the reality he saw in his mirror image. He couldn't escape either reality and faced life head-on. In the end all the McBrides triumphed despite their poor upbrining and became successful people.
