Process Essay: How to Avoid Making Your Bed


Every Saturday, my mother would take the initiative to check my room to see if my bed was made. It was her usual Saturday morning routine and it seriously got on my nerves. The way she always knew exactly when I would not be in my room was mind-boggling. First, she would enter the kitchen and listen carefully to see if she heard the television on downstairs. She carefully tiptoed down the basement steps to see if it was me watching the television. Once she realized that it was me, she quickly headed for my room.
I have to give my mother credit for the way she made her way to my room without alarming me. She would walk on every other step to avoid the loud creaks that the stairs made. This procedure was done until she reached the top step. It took her about five seconds to enter my room at this point. Two seconds prior
