All ABOUT ONEIL
When I used to live in France I attended two schools, the kindergarten which was called "les dominos" and the elementary school "la sausaye". I had so much fun with my friend with Richard, everyday there was always something exciting to do. I moved in New York when I was twelve and I attended Susan B. Anthony (junior high school), I was teased everyday for speaking with a heavy French accent. I didn't like the atmosphere and since I was new, I was homesick.
After my junior high school graduation, I was so thrilled about the fact of going to high school. I can't deny that I was a little bit scared. I expected high school to be hard and thought that it was going to be a failure.
September 4th, 1996 was my first day in high school. I was amazed to see that students were more serious. My first two years were easy, I had few friends, few classmates, and I was still being teased about the way I looked. I had no worry whatsoever and by the middle of my sophmore year, I enjoyed coming to school. I also became close with two people Deborah and Alfonso. My junior year was the hardest year, I had too much work, I was under so much pressure. However, my senior year was pretty simple and I am happy to see that high school is coming to an end. When I started high school, I really had no definite goal. My only aim was to graduate. Throughout my high school years, I've acomplished many things. I was a member of the National Honor Society, I won the first prize in a National French contsest and I've also volunteered to help many of my teachers. I was influenced positively by many teachers. They have encouraged me by telling me that I can succeed in life, no matter what obstacles I face.
I was so happy the day I received my letter of acceptance at Stony Brook University. Therefore, in September I'll be attending this huge school. I plan to major in Business Management. I really can't picture where I'll be in ten years. Nevertheless, I know that the upcoming years are going to be a big war. I hope I have all the potential it takes to overcome these battles and be a successful person one day.
