While my teacher in my social justice class read from a passage called "Eleven" it reminded me of a time when I also had an embarassing moment. You see, my elementary school was a private Lutheran school and every Wednesday we had to go to church. When you entered the 8th grade you would become an alter server. The responsibility that an alter server had was to light all the candles in the church and put them out at the end of church. The robes that we had to wear didn't actually fit you, since they belonged to the church they were used for many years. They were either really small or really really big. On this Wednesday everybody had taken all of the good robes and I was forced to wear the extremely big robe, that everyone wanted to avoid, that hung off me. When it was time to march in and light the candles I did what I and all of my classmates had dreaded, I triped on the robe and fell infront of the whole school which started from Kindergarden and went up to 8th. I don't think I told you about the long brass candle lighter that we used that made a very loud clank on the wood furnished church floor. I so humiliated, that after that wednesday I became a scripture reader instead.
