Joyce Dennison

Autobiography

Hello I'm Joyce Paulette Dennison. Born in 1982 to Robin and Steven Dennison. My parents were childhood sweet-hearts. They both attended Saint Catherine of Sienna school & have been married for almost 20 years. As their first child, pride and joy I became the center of attention until my brother Jamal was born only 14 months after me. Obviously my fame didn't last that long. Six years later my family was blessed with yet another child,Joshua. Traditionally we all attended Saint Catherine of Sienna School. There, I attended grade-school with my best friends of all time, Danielle Edwards and Toni Hillery. We've been friends for so many years now. Isn't that great?!!
Off to Jamaica High School and the start of my woman-hood. During the first year,my sister Breonna was born. Now babysitting duties follow my educational carrier.Tremendously interested in extracurricular activities I decided to join the Jamaica cheerleading squad. Later on that year I began to date my boy-friend Troy Perry. I continued cheering our basketball team until the end of my junior year. By that time I had completely fallen in LOVE with Troy. He is a year older than I and was headed to college in the fall. No surprise, my love recieved a scholarship to attend the University of Charleston in West Virgina. Although we weren't going to like the distance between us, Troy & I decided to make our relationship work while he was away.
The start of the honorable senior year! Less classes, more sleeping time. Most people think that senoir year is the best & they're absolutely right. It also consists of tremendous work on the students part. Constantly searching for the right college, scholarships, recommendations-everything! All of which pay off in the long run.
The year so far is going great for me but unfortunately it was filled with lots of heart-ache (ofcourse you know that the love of my life is away at college making me proud). As senior class treasurer & yearbook staff member I pretty much stay busy while the year roles by. Through lots of dedication to Jamaica, I also earned the celebrity title of Ms. Jamaica 2000. Soon I'll be walking accross York college's stage recieving my Regents diploma on June 26 at 6:00 p.m.
I aspire to be a phenominal secondary education teacher. Attending West Virgina University, and recieving my masters of education in 5 years are my major goals. After I graduate college my dream is to marry & live happily ever after with my partner in greatness, Troy Leyton Perry....I love You Punkin!
