Anti-Filtering

I believe filtering was the worse kind of security system ever thought of. The person that thought of this security system probably thought that it will keep underaged children from getting into web sites that parents and teachers don't want there children to be in (such as pornography sites). Yes, this kind of security system has prevented kids from getting into such sites such as I previously mentioned, but this type of system has prevented High School senoirs from being able to work on their web sites and getting thier work done for a decent grade. I for one is against filtering 100%.

I agree with Ted Nelson when he said "in a properly supervised classroom, one does not need a filter. The teacher should be the filter as he or she moves about the room interacting with the students". I feel as though we as the students in the classroom are not trusted, that we are dishonest little fourth gradrs or something to that sort. Most of us students are seniors. We don't have time to fool around in the classroom, tryin to get into sites, where parents/ teachers do not want us to go in.
