Life before and during High School

I guess I can say life before high school was very fun and exciting. I grew up in Jamaica and we had primary school, which was grades1-6.

In grade 5 everyone was required to take the common entrance examination(CEE),if you were lucky to be successful in the CEE, you skip the 6th grade and move on to high school.I remember after the CEE all academic work was over, we had the rest of the school year to p-a-r-t-y.Of course our teacher would lecture"high school is no joke, this is where the hard work begins." Ok so she was right, but then at 10 years old , what did we care?

Then came high school, grades 7-11, this was where I had some of the greatest times of my life. With each grade, came even more chalenging work. I can say I got a good education. In high school I made lifetime friends, to name a few, Suzanne, Natika, Jadean and Rachelle.

Then I came to Jamaica High School. Switching to a totally new environment can be horrifying. I moved away from all my friends. At first I never thought it was possible to meet friends here, but I did and it is sad to say it is all over now and I am gonna miss everyone.

Everyone will be going off to colleges to make someting of themselves. Including me, I plan to get my BA in Government and then its law school.Thank God for family, friends and teachers who made such wonderful years come true.
