Timeline: Set before the Wildman child stopped crawling and became such as sweet precious, delightful mini adult/child. Chakotay was confused. For the past 5 hours he had been unable to contact his spirit guide. The silence that greeted him everytime he tried was deafening in its own way. He was so tired and frustrated that he finally gave up and just crawled into bed. Tuvok was also disturbed. The meditations he usually engaged in to relieve the stress of maintaining perfect composure were not working. He tried to slowly erase the emotions from his mind but it was extremly difficult and he was at lost to explain why. It wasn't logical, there had been no incidents lately that would cause him to have this kind of difficulty. He closed his eyes and sank painfully deeper into meditation, but to no avail. Kes tossed and turned all night. Then suddenly she sat up, eyes wide open. She knew she had dreamed something but couldn't remember what it was. She shivered and pulled the covers closely around her. B'Elanna angrily tossed her toolkit in a corner of her cabin. She quickly took off her uniform, showered and changed into her exercise clothes. She began her aerobic exercises but it just didn't seem to relax her. She felt tense but couldn't understand why. She tried shadow boxing but it wasn't bringing the usual sense of release. Tom and Harry were white water rafting in the Holodeck. The waves were high and foamy, the water rushing them through the canyon, but both men felt oddly deflated. They decided to just end the program and go back to their respective cabins. Captain Janeway was chewing on the handle of her paintbursh. Usually when she was painting it calmed her but for some reason today the canvas seemed to mock her. The sense of peace was missing.. Then suddenly, from deep in the bowels of the ship came Last Time: Wait, Did I mention that Vorick was in meditation also. He had even gone to the Holodeck to try to alleviate his unease with the Vulcan simulation that the Doctor had prescribed earlier for him. He had had some measure of success but was unsure it the success would be long-lasting. He decided to play scrabble once more just to be sure. Back to the
next part: Oh yeah, Unbeknownst to the crew, Suder had placed a program in the computer. It began to slowly find its way to the main computer and found its destination: Sick Bay!The Doctor became confused when the lights began to blink and disco music started to play. Sorry, back to the story. Then suddenly, from deep in the bowels of the ship came OH yeah, I almost forgot to mention that the Wildman baby had been crying for hours, driving both Samantha and her cabin neighbors crazy. It also made them worry because the baby had an unusual talent for crying right before some disaster. I know ,I know back to the story One more thing The crew in the stellar topography also felt a little unrest. Usually Seven would be irratated at them for expresssing their unrest but this time she too, sensed something was slightly off-kilter in the universe. She checked the instrument panel in front of her, nothing appeared wrong and yet OKAY, back to the story again, Then suddenly, from deep in the bowels of the ship came the dreaded sound the crew had been hoping would NEVER come but like death, taxes, and another Chakotay "Among my people there is a legend" they all knew that eventually, fatefully, inevitably this moment WOULD come Neelix's insanely cheerful voice over the intercom: Breakfast is READY!
