A night at the Bolshoi Ballet.
A theatre? A museum? A restaurant? No!
A plain old Moscow Metro station.

St. Petersburg.
The palace that Tsar Peter built for his daughter Elizabeth. Built on the waterfront with staircase fountains, round fountains, small fountains, large fountains, tall fountains, and tree and flower shaped fountains. My favourite was the trick fountain: Benches in a circle around a pretty fountain, and pipes surreptitiously placed behind the seats. There are pressure switches hidden underneath stones in the path in front of the benches. Once triggered, the small jets suddenly spout high into the air, drenching both the walker, and those sitting on the seat.
Whoever said that the Russian Tsars had no sense of humour?
