Mongolia - A Land of Nomads |

After leaving the sprawling, urban Soviet capital of Ulan Baatar, the scenery changed instantly. We found ourselves in the middle of empty green fields and valleys, the emptiness broken only by the occasional ger (a one-room collapsible tent house), and the livestock (horses, goats, sheep and yak) belonging to the family that lived in them.
These two photos were taken shortly after dawn at our first tent site. |
