| Everett is a handsome Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever cross. Ev has the short coat of a lab (but has the cutest golden "feathers" on his tail), and the sweet, loving personality of a golden. Everett was just seven weeks old in the photo to the left. Ev was raised for an assistance dog organization that trains dogs to assist people with disabilities other than blindness. Everett was being trained to assist someone in a wheelchair with tasks like retrieving dropped items and opening doors. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Everett accompanied his puppy raiser to work each day. This was great since Everett got to go to an elementary school during the week! Everett was a great motivator to help the children with thier school skills. Ev always remained calm and assured the children that were nervous about dogs he was nothing to be afraid of, in fact, Ev was a great playmate and friend! Everett taught the children to always ask before petting a dog, and the kids learned a lot about different types of working dogs. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Everett wasn't always working of course, he loves to have fun. When Everett was a little over a year old, he went to advanced training to learn more skills, that's when he really had to be serious! Yet, there was always a little time to relax and act goofy! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Everett made it all the way through "college" aka advanced training! He knows all of the skills to be a service dog, however, Ev didn't match up with anybody at Team Training. Everett was released from the program and is a wonderful pet. Here here he is in his new home with his buddy Chip, the parrot. Everett's new owner taught him yet another trick, he taught Ev how to bow! Everett is so cute doing the bow! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
