A CHANGE IN ME |
By many I've been called unromantic With feelings so undear. But when I'm at a loss for words My emotions show through crystal clear. I guess it's just the way I am, Something that will never change. The usual stereotype of a man Who is set in his manly ways. These feelings I no longer hold So very true and dear. I've come to realize that with the change in times New feelings must appear. I must no longer hide my tears Or not let my emotions show. I must no longer subdue my fears Or try to stand alone. I must no longer think of a woman As less than me or one with a spineless back. I must think of her now as an equal to me And accept her just as that. |
A STAR FOR YOU |
Take my hand and walk with me, Through the woods or on the beach. In our eyes or in our hearts Unspoken words say we'll never part. Take a look up in the sky and see the star that shines so bright. It's the star I give to you To let you know my love is true. When you see that star shining bright You'll always know that I am by your side. There for you at all times, When you laugh and when you cry. To comfort you through the good and bad. When times are happy, when times are sad. So when you see that star shining bright You'll always know I'm by your side. |
