Lord Malachite, stood on the balcony, watching the scorching

crimsion, sun set behind an enormous mountain, in the distance. It was

beautiful.

A light breeze carried its way past him, making his shoulder length

white hair, stand on end. His mind was away in thoughts, on how to

overthrow his leader from the throne. To kill her completely.

As he pondered he felt a soft hand touch the nap of his neck

startling him. He quickly turned facing his significant other,

Zoicite.

"Hello Malachite my love", he said. Malachite smiled and kissed

his hand softly asking, "what have you been up to?"

"Nothing. The day was boring I found. Queen Beryl has not called

me once today".

Malachite found that it was the perfect time to tell him about his

brilliant plan. "Zoicite", he said in a serious tone.

"Yes, what is it?"

"I have a plan that will only work if I include the other two

generals."

Zoicite scoffed with disapproval. "Tell me what this plan is, and

I'll see if worth calling the two of them on it".

"I've come up with a plan, to over throw Beryl from the throne.

That will make me ruler of the negaverse. "

Zoicite gasped, nearly choking on his own breath. "You can not be

serious! Beryl possesses far more power, than you can ever come up

with".

"That's where Jadeite and Nefrite come in. I could use them so the

four of us at once will combine our powers and destroy Beryl for good."

Zoicite had to stop and pondered on that. He asked, "how do you

know that our four powers combined will be enough to overthrow Beryl?"

"Well its never been tried, but if I figure-" he was cut off.

"If we try this we'll all be soaking in our own blood".

"We have to try this, it will be our only way".

Before Zoicite could respond to his comment, Malachite ceased his

lover's wrist and pulled him inside.

"What are you doing"?

" *We* , are going to talk to the other two."

******

The starlit night was full of mystery. Nefrite stared up at the

night sky in no particular thought. He took a sip of the wine in his

hand to calm his tensed nerves. The alcohol actuallly seemed to be

working, for he was beginning to feel better.

A sudden knock at the door, caused him to drop his glass. It

shattered spreading schards all over the black marble floor.

"Enter",he said in a stern tone.

The huge doors creaked open and two sillouetted figures appeared

inside. He walked through the archway which lead him back inside he

quarters. He recognized the dark figures with instant.

"What is it?", he asked with annoyance.

"We'd like to have a talk with you Nefrite". He heard Zoicite

speak first.

" I think you'll approve of it", Malachite added.

His blue narrowed with suspision. He didn't trust the two of them

at all.

So tell me what it is, and make it quick." said Nefrite. " I don't

have time to deal with people like you!"

Zoicite laughed at his explanation, and said, " don't worry, we won't

take up your time. What are you in a hurry for anyway? Are you scheduled

to get drunk?"

Nefrite didn't reply. Zoicite was angering him.

" I've come up with a plan" Malachite told him , stepping into the

light." It involves the four of us. I know we all hate each other, but

we must work together. We are attempting to overthow Beryl from her

throne."

Nefrite felt his heart skip a beat. " You can't be serious. Are you?"

" Do I appear serious to you" Malachite asked him?

He studied Malachite slowly. His enemy remained unsmiling, standing

erect, his hand on one hip. Nefrite wasn't certain. Malachite's mind,

and body language, was always unreadable.

Zoicite stepped calmly into the light also. The usual smirk was on

his face. He stood next to Malachite.

" How do we know if we can actually defeat Beryl" Nefrite asked? " I

understand the process, and it's a brillant plan, but I'm not sure."

" Here we go" said Zoicite. Her folded his arms across his chest.

"Another pesimistic, who needs you anyway?"

" We do need him though" Malachite explaind, before another usual

argument took place." Nefrite ask the stars, if we will be capable of

defeating Beryl, with the power we have. We'll go and inform Jadeite of

the plan."

Nefrite nodded, at the command, and watched the couple disappear into

the darkness, towards the door. Not until the door cloose did he call

upon the stars.

Malachite and Zoicite walked through the dark corridors, of the

Negavearse. The huge place, was not very welcoming at all. It was

actually very morbid, in appearance.

Zoicite turned to his partner as they walked, and said, " Nefrite

really was okay, with your plan. I was a bit shocked, at reactions.

Let's hope that Jadeite reponds the same way".

Malachite only nodded. He seemed to be lost in his own thoughts, at

the moment.

Zoicite studied his partner, with concern. It bothered him. He had

expected his lover to at least look at him , and say something, in

return. " Malachite, what is it, you are thinking" he finally asked?

Malachite's blank expression, cleared. His vision focused, and he

stared back at Zoicite. " I was just thinking about, how we could

surprise attack Beryl. You know, it must only be done that way. No

other." he replied. " Uh . . .what was that you said before?"

" Nevermind." He said, turning away.

He backed Zoicite, into a nearby wall, and told him, " we will do a

surprise attack, on Beryl tomorrow. Are you with me on this, all the

way" he asked sternly?

Zoicite nodded, unable to speak at first. The harsh tone in

Malachite's voice, had both surprised, and intimidated him. " Y-yes, I'm

with you all the way on this. I-I promise."

Malachite smiled, and touched the side of Zoicites face softly. He

kissed his lips, following, and slowly parted away. Zoicite's gaze

remained locked with his.

*****

A sudeen knock at the double doors. Jadeite became disoriented, which

caused him to loose concentration, on the energy ball, which sustained

in his hand. The transparent blue light of energy, had faded.

" Damn it!" Jadeite muttered under his breath. " enter please" he

replied, to whomever waited at his door.

The doors slowly opened, Malchite and Zoicites black sillouettes could

be seen. Seeing them, made him even angrier, and also it was too late in

the day to deal with them.

" Why hello ^^" he heard Zoicite speak vivacously. He stepped into

Jadeite's veiw, under the lighted area, from the small ceiling lamp.

" What is it " Jadeite asked in return, with less excitement. He

sensed that Zoicite was teasing him about something.

" Malachite and I would like to talk to you " he began.

" I've come up with a brillant idea. It will be of great convenience

to you, me, and the others." Malachite continued.

Jadeite wasn't buying it. He knew those two were up to something on his

behalf. He wasn't certain, but his one big problem, was that of being

paranoid. He was alway's afraid that someone of lower rank than he,

would try to out do him, and toss him out of his position. Being the

lowest ranking general that he was, he feared that the three higher

generals would cause him to forfeit his place. Usaually he would try to

distance himself from the others.

" We know what your thinking Jadeite." Zoicite replied. He crossed his

arms. " It's time we all become ally's instead of rivals."

Zoicite had sounded sincere, but Jadeite remained skeptical of his

actions. Zocite couldn't be trusted, and neither Malachite.

" Trust us" Malachite replied, now standing behind him, instead of in

front. He put his hand on his shoulder, for reassurance. His voice was

gentle, not his usual tone towards Jadeite.

He knocked Malachite's hand off of his shoulder, as he turned to face

him. " Don't you ever touch me again, you queer" He hissed. His hands

flared with red energy, ready for battle.

Malachite only laughed at him, and replied with, " I think you are

forgetting who you are talking to my friend."

" I'm not afraid of you" Jadeite scoffed with defiance. In actual, he

hid his true feelings. He was deathly afraid of Malachite, but at the

same time dispised him, and wasn't afraid to show it.

" You're not afraid of me hmm?" Malachite asked with amusment, as he

backed Jadeite up into the wall.

He was surprised, and wondered why Zoicite wasn't taking part in the

quarl that was about to take place. Usually he would.

Malachite grabbed the lapels of his uniform jacket. He brought his

face to Jadeite's, their eyes met.

Jadeite tried pushing against his enemy, laborously, but failed.

" Don't fight me Jadeite" Malachite told him, struggling to keep the

smaller, and younger man still.

Then Jadeite did somthing that he thought he'd never do. He punched him

in the side of the jaw, with so much force, that his enemy's jaw's

clacked together.

Zoicite gasped, his hand covering his mouth.

Malachite stared at him, both in disbeleif, and in anger.

Jadeite looked back at him, with the most defiant expression.

Malachite grabbed his throat, and pressed firmly on his adams apple.

"If it's a fight you want, you little shit, then it's a fight you'll

get"! He slapped him across his face with the back of his hand.

Jadeite had never felt a blow like that in his whole life. The whole

left side of his face burned, with pain. His nose felt unusually heavy,

and somthing warm, and thick began to ooze out from it. He felt under

his nose, finding that it was his own blood upon his finger tips. More

of it flowed down over his mouth. " You bastard"!He spat. He was so loud

his vioce echoed throughout the huge room.

Malachite released his hold on his throat,a nd grabbed both his

wrists, pulling him away from the was, and shoved to the black marbled

floor.

Jadeite only sat there waiting for the worse to happen.

Malachite stood over him menacingly, his fist held high above his

head ready to strike again.

Jadeite cowarded before him like he had done so many times before.

Malachite chuckled at the smaller man's cowardness, and put his fist down

to the side. " Why do I even waste my time?" He asked himself. " I

thought you were man enough to fight me this time, you little prick. You

don't deserve the ranking you have now. " He gave his rival a sharp kick

in the ribs, and walked away.

Zoicite followed closley behind him, like a puppy, until at last they

finally left, the sound of the large double doors, sent a booming echo

throughout his room.

Jadeite couldn't breathe for the next several seconds, after having

the wind knocked out of him. Never had he been so humiliated. Soon he

was okay and he sat up, wiping the blood from his nose, with the back of

his sleeve. His ribs ached terribly, nothing was fractured, more than

likely bruised.

He greatley dispised Malachite, and he would soon return his torture

as Malachite had done to him for so long.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

" You didn't have to kick him so hard like that!" Zoicite stated. "You

could've broken his ribs, and perhaps punctured both his lungs, then, he

could die!"

" Relax....he's alright." Malachite said with a grin, happy for what

he had done." It's getting late". He came up from behind, and wrapped

his arms around his waist, and kissed his neck softly.

Zoicite sighed and continued to let Malachite

caress him, but before they could go any further, he was called upon.

Malachite stopped, looked up. Beryl had called.

Zoicite groaned.

He looked at his partner promisingly, and said," I'll be back soon"

He kissed him on the cheek, then stepped back, teleporting to Berly's

throne room.

" Don't take long!!!" Zoicite called as he began to

disappeared.
