I used a Japanese line from the dj, 'cause I loved it. "Koshi wa nani de mo shitte iru" is a pun on Neph's line "Hoshi wa nani de mo shitte iru" -- The stars know everything. Koshi is a gentil term for hips, groin, everything in that area.

On to the fic!

A Typical Day in the Negaverse (Dark Kingdom, whatever...)

***** It was a normal day, Jadeite reflected miserably. Beryl had gotten mad at him again, for yet another failure that he had had no control over. He sighed. This was getting to be too much of a habit. He went over his plan again. It had been perfect, before those damn senshi had had come in and ruined everything. Jadeite swore. They must have some way of tracking him, to be able to foil his plots so easily. He hadn't even been working in Tokyo this time and Sailor Mars still managed to show up at exactly the wrong moment. Jadeite berated himself, he kept underestimating them. He sighed again and decided to take a walk before trying to come up with another plan. Jadeite left his room and walked towards the gardens. He grinned. Something he doubted any outsider would guess was that the Dark Kingdom's gardens were magnificent, more beautiful than any in the Ningenkai. He'd be okay, being in the gardens would calm him, when all he wanted was to throttle those fukued brats. Just as long as Jadeite could keep from running into *them*. Unfortunately, Fate decided to exhibit her sense of irony today. A high-pitched chuckle came from behind him.

"Tired Jeda-chan? You must be, after all the hard work you put into that plan of your's. And it all came to naught. I think you might need some help, Jeda-chan. How about a partner?" Even though he'd recognized the voice immediately, Jadeite turned around to look at the King standing behind him. If his voice hadn't been a dead give away, the long copper-blond locks would have been.

"What do you want, Zoicite?" Jadeite calmly addressed the androgynous young man. Zoicite produced a small pink rose, out of thin air, and leisurely smiled.

"I don't want anything, Jeda-chan... You seemed stressed, that's all.

Kunzite and I were worried about you," Zoicite smirked and quietly waited for him to blow up at the nickname, like he always did. Jadeite didn't say anything, but just turned away. Jadeite sighed again. He was doing that a lot today, but it was cleansing.

"Where is Kunzite, anyway? This time of day you two are usually someplace private doing... whatever the hell you two do in your spare time." Jadeite was calmer than he usually was when Zoicite was around, but he still couldn't hide the coldness in his voice. Zoicite grinned at his back and leaned against the wall.

"He's with Queen Beryl, thinking up new ways to get energy," the younger man smirked as he saw Jadeite's back stiffen.

"They can't do that, that's my job!" Jadeite growled low in his throat. He turned around to face Zoicite, "How do you know about this?" Zoicite's grin widened.

"It's my job to know these things. And if you want my advice, Jeda-chan, you better start doing your job. If you want live, that is." The long-haired King grinned like the cat who had gotten into the milk, at the look on Jadeite's face.

"Ja ne, Jeda-chan. And don't forget this little discussion," Zoicite made a small gesture and was instantaneously surrounded by cherry blossom petals as he transported away, leaving only his irritating laugh to fade away in the dark corridor.

Jadeite stared for a few moments at the place Zoicite had vacated. Zoicite had to be wrong! Jadeite turned and ran full speed down the hallway, not even noticing where he was going, his mind clouded in frustration and fear.

Somehow he managed to end up in the gardens. He was breathing heavily as he sat down on the nearest bench to get his wind back. Although he really didn't have the breath to spare, Jadeite had to sigh again. Nothing was working the way it should be. He stood up and began to wander about the gardens, picking a leaf here, a petal there. Jadeite came to his favorite part the gardens. It was a small rose garden, that he'd planted when he first became a King. He plucked a blossom from a bush of blue roses that was nearby and sat down, idly twirling it between his fingers. He usually started screaming, when fate seemed allied against him like this, but today he was just too tired. After that failure in a place called Las Vegas (humans have such strange names for things), Queen Beryl had berated him in front of everyone. Now he was just too exhausted to make a fuss about anything. Jadeite's mind drifted back to Las Vegas and the stratagy that he had devised... It had been perfect. Humans wasted so much energy on "gambling" and looking at the pretty women, that were all over down there, that they didn't notice at all when he stole it. Unfortunately, Sailor Mars had appeared and it was over. He had to smile, thinking of how beautiful she looked as she glared at him, daring him to hurt her. Jadeite growled. What was he thinking? Sailor Mars was the enemy! ::No, she's not,:: whispered a rebellious little voice inside him, ::you think she's incredibly gorgeous and--:: Jadeite shook his head. Where were these strange thoughts coming from? He was clearly exhausted, that must be why he was feeling so weird. Jadeite resolved to give himself a holiday from work for few hours, and enjoy the peace and quiet. The peace didn't last long. As Jadeite relaxed, lean muscled arms circled him from behind.

"Good afternoon, Jadeite..." a familiar, and totally unwanted, voice said quietly in his ear. Jadeite gulped.

"Ummm... Nephrite. What do you want?" Jadeite dropped the rose, desperately trying to disentangle himself from the other man's arms. Nephrite released him and Jadeite let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. He scrambled to his feet and turned to face Nephrite. A predatory smile grew on the auburn-haired King's handsome face as Jadeite began to back away. Nephrite took a few steps forward and Jadeite realized that his back was against a tree. He looked about, desperately, trying to find something, anything, that would help him get out of this situation. Nephrite smirked and ran his hand through the smaller man's hair.

"Guess," Nephrite whispered huskily. Jadeite looked up at him with a panic-stricken expression. He struggled to free himself, but Nephrite pulled him close.

"Koshi wa nani de mo shitte iru." Jadeite gulped again.

"Has anyone ever told you that you are the cutest person in the Dark Kingdom?" Nephrite pushed himself up against the blond King, and Jadeite's eyes widened when the taller man gave him a half-lidded look. The corners of Nephrite's smile turned up a little more and he bent down, gently pressing his mouth against Jadeite's. Nephrite kneaded his hands against Jadeite's back, feeling the hard muscle there. Jadeite started to melt under Nephrite soft touch. He slid his hands lower, caressing Jadeite's butt, enjoying the sensation of the warm powerful flesh under Jadeite's uniform. A shiver ran through the smaller man's body and his ice blue eyes snapped open. He shoved Nephrite away from him, glaring, but under the anger, terror coursed through his veins.

"Get away from me!" Jadeite choked out. Nephrite regarded him with slitted eyes, a slight smirk still visible at the corners of his mouth, then nodded.

"Ja matte, Jadeite. Perhaps tomorrow." With that Nephrite summoned a swirl of pale green smoke, and disappeared. Jadeite's eyes narrowed as he stretched his senses, making sure that the other King was truly gone. Only then did he allow himself to relax again. He sat back down on the grass, under the tree. He picked up the rose he had dropped when Nephrite appeared and idly twirled it between his fingers. Damn that Nephrite! Jadeite never asked him to do any of that, he didn't want it! But then why did it feel so good? Jadeite growled softly and tried to think up a solution, to *any* of his problems. He couldn't think of a thing.

"I probably just need to rest," he told himself. He put the flower to his nose. The heavenly smell made close his eyes and smile. Jadeite put the rose back on the ground, next to him, and stretched sensuously. Soon he was fast asleep, laying on the soft grass. Moments later, a tall figure with auburn hair again appeared in the clearing. Nephrite looked at the sleeping King and smiled. He sauntered over to the blue rose Jadeite had placed on the ground, bending down and neatly tucking it into his own hair.

"Sleep tight, beloved," whispered Nephrite,

"ai shiteru." As he teleported back to his room, Nephrite thought,

'just another day in the Negaverse.' 1
