Japan - Tokyo and Kyoto
April 26th - May 5th, 2005
A small path through the Eastern Gardens at the Imperial Palace I love Bamboo and this was the first time I saw it in Japan. I missed seeing the Cherry Trees by a few weeks but there were some late bloomers.

Kyoto from the top of the mountain. You can see Hirosawa Pond on the left. A waterfall on the Kinkakuji Temple grounds Not sure what this was for, but I made my money in the center bowl.

Vending Machines are everywhere in Japan. The third place I stayed at was on Sakura-Dori(Cherry Street)
Interesting pillow....
I saw Mt. Fuji for a split second but by the time I got the camera out, the fog had covered it.  You can vaguely see the outline on the right side. This HDTV is wider than I am tall. The University of Tokyo wouldn't let me on campus so I just snapped a picture of the gates. The Japanese symbol for Temple is a reverse swastica

This machine will be your best friend in Tokyo.  It sells you tickets to the subway. A bamboo gate on the Meiji Shrine Grounds.

These are just a few of the pictures I took.  Overall I took about 250 pics and about 20 minutes of video.  I might rotate these pics in and out over the next few mounths but I doubt it.  I had a great time and I'd recommend going there to anyone.  IE Users can see a short description by mousing over.
