Big 30 Pitcher of the Year
Mike Struchen is caught on film pitching in the '98 Class C State Semi-finals against Elmira-Notre Dame which Portville won, 5-2 to advance to the state class C championship game. The team, led by Struchen's pitching, got nipped by Stillwater 3-2 to just miss being Portville's first ever team state titlist but finished with an 18-3 record and won Portville's first ever Section VI and Far West Regional baseball titles.
