The Rsi was desingned just like the original concept beetle was to be Bold ,to stand out, and to be unique just like the people who like the silly little cars. They knew that the car would not apeal to every one. That is what they did with the Rsi it still has the bold looks of the New Beetle, it certanly stands out even in a crowd of beetles, and it is totally FAST!!!
Well i know you want to know about the power train well here it is. The Rsi has a get this a twin-turboed V6 five-valve from the Audi stables. I have heard anywhere from 250 to 400 bhp on this bad boy. Now how do we get all of this bhp to the ground you ask, well how about a 6-speed tranny and a 4MOTION (formorly the syncro) all-wheel-drive system to do the trick. if you add all of this up you get a realy fast Bug.
The Blue Cup car Premiered at the Essen Motorshow. This car is actualy based on the new Beetle GLX and does not have near the power the Rsi but it is not to shabby. Has it has a 2.8 liter six-cylinder four-valve engine that pumps out more than 200 bph which works out to i think 180 hp (if any one knows the exact excange please e-mail me thank you) |
