What is a tab?
Short for tabulated chords, tabs are a way to read chords through numbers. The six numbers aligned vertically represent the six strings of a guitar, and the numbers represent what fret has to be pressed in the chord. The finger arrangement isn't specified, but once you get used to it, your fingers will fall into place more instinctively. Tabs have become the most convenient way to learn new songs because of the popularity of tab sites (some listed in the menu on the left), where all you jave to do is search for the song you'd like. I myself ain't an expert at these things, but once you've learned how to read them, it becomes a whole lot easier to learn alot of new songs.
