MEMORIES
A poem by John Cody
I知 sorting through our memories so if ever we should part.
I値l keep the very best of you, and store them in my heart.
Like the little looks that you would give me, for each unfunny
Joke,or the way you had of tossing your head each and every
Time you spoke.
The way you wore you hair pushed low across your face.
You had a smile for everyone your walk was filled with style
And grace, These things I will remember, and treasure for
Always, like the love you gave to me that took my pain
Away.
I値l keep these things inside of me within my memories
Reach, and when I知 down and lonely I値l look within myself,
To hold them close to me and smile within myself.
