The Air Force Officier walking with his friends
Charles and Johnny upon the McCook street
saw a new Chrysler with 3 beautiful ladies.
Whom the soldier desired to meet.

Upon one glance he could see
That the car’s back tire was low.
Being from the state of Texas.
He did not know that they were low
waiting arrivial of the early October snow.

“Ma’am” he said with his Texan grin,
“Your back tire is low”.
“Well is it round on Top?”
was Leah's sharp reply! And off they drove.

Leah wore a brown coat
with a fur collar, and a red tam hat.
Her friend Gurt and sister Opal.
Joined her in the Box Car Café.
where they sat.

In walked the 3 soldiers.
Lew told his friends,
That gal in the red hat
Is mine ~
And that is that.

So Began the Whirlwind romance
of Lew and Lee!

Leah soon started wearing Lew's high school ring. During one date after Lew returned from Fralow the two were sitting together at a Movie. Lew reached over and took off his class ring off of Leah's finger. She did not understand what he was doing. Then he replaced it with an engagement ring. Leah says she melted right there on that seat.

Each day I want to tell you
What joy my heart does show
With every touch I feel now
Such beauty I will know

You beside me always
The joy in life begins
Touched by so much softness
My spirit always brings

Harmony within me
That never goes away
So much love to guide me
This never fades away

Softly as you kiss me
My heart is so aware
Each beat is joined in unity
This unrelenting prayer

Holding on forever
I offer you my soul
Deep this love within me
Each day it does console

Hold me closer darling
Fly on golden wing
I'm captured for eternity
My love my everything.
