SkyDart
A 'clone' of a classic Estes boost glider from the past. In my youth I had several SkyDarts but could never get them to fly right. Age and experience has changed that. This boost glider flies extremely well and is a real beauty. The model was built with traditional Estes parts. The nose cone was provided by BMS (they have a great selection of classic Estes nose cones in stock). The patterns for the fin and wings were downloaded from JimZ's web site and the decals were made by myself.

The glider can fly on 18mm B or C motors. I was very surprised at the
altitude achieved with a B4-2 on its first flight. A motor pod is contained
within the main body and is kicked out at ejection. The pod has nose weight
to make the glider stable during boost. After ejection the pod returns via it's
own 12" chute and the glider flies around for about 20 seconds before
landing.

Model specs:
length 14", w/s 12.6", wt 3.5 oz (at lift off) glider wt. 1.75 oz
