The Maxi-Brutes were Estes' largest model rockets offered. These large rockets used the powerful 'D' engine that Estes introduced. Because they were so large the rockets had to be light in weight so they used blow molded plastic nosecones and vacuum formed parts for a lot of their construction. Any one of these rockets always looked impressive sitting on the pad or on the shelf displayed with more traditional sized model rockets. The ultimate quest for any rocketeer was to build and fly the mighty Saturn V. Considered the crowning acheivement, this rocket was worth every merit of its Skill level 5 rating.
Through the years I have always wanted to own each of these Maxi-Brutes. It's only recently that I have been able to fulfill my quest. Soon Estes will re-introduce the V-2 and my collecton will be complete.
