Honest John
Estes' 1/9 scale Maxi-Brute model of the Army's ballistic battlefield missile. The model utilizes a blow molded nose cone and tail cone along with vaccu-form fins to help keep the weight down so it can still be flown with a 'D' engine. This particular model was from the 20th Anniversary Commerative Series that Estes issued in 1995. Just recently, in 2000, Estes re-issued the kit again on a limited production run basis.

It truly is an impressive model. The nose
cone and booster each come down under
their own 24" parachutes. I normally fly
this model with an Aerotech E18-4 motor
rather than the reccomended D12-3.
With the high drag of this model a 'D'
will only get it to around 100'.
The 'E' powered flights are
much more impressive.

Model specs.: 37" long,  2.6" body tude dia.,
11oz wt.
