Don’t Run Over People

If there’s one piece of important advice I will be allowed to give you, let it be that in driving your own motorized vehicle, do your best not to run over people.

It is a stressingly inconvenient thing, this running over people. To begin with, there’s this risk that the person you run over might die, and I won’t pretend to be the expert on Criminal Law or anything like that, but I think something about having caused another fellow human being to die entitles one to a certain amount of jail time. And I don’t want you in jail.

I don’t know.
