Computer Graphics - Bryce 3D

When I met Eric, one of the things that attracted me to him was his artistic talent. He used a program I had never heard of, Bryce 3D, to create 3D images including landscapes, space scenes and more.

When he first got me the program, I played with it a bit, but it was quite a steep learning curve and anything I created was more by luck than ability.

However, when I first met Eric's sister, Michele, it was obvious that she was a very prolific artist, using the same program, and she mentioned some sites that she went to for resources and input from other artists. Once I started doing some online searches for information, I was hooked!

Bryce 3D Links
  • 3D Commune - this excellent site is an online community for graphic artists. It features galleries where you can post your work, forums where you can ask questions and discuss issues, and many of the artists post free items that you can download and use in your work.
  • Renderosity - this is another great community for graphic artists.
  • Robin Wood's tutorials - if you are just getting started with Bryce 3D, I highly recommend this series of tutorials. I learned more from these than I EVER did from the Bryce manual!
  • Bryce for Beginners - some more tutorials - you can never learn too much!
  • Bryceworld - I get a lot of my 3D models from this site. Excellent!
  • Baumgarten 3D Models - another site with lots of free 3D models.

I've created a gallery with thumbnail images of my Bryce works. You can click on the thumbnails to see the full sized image.
